Oh boy, still recovering from yesterday’s blast at the venues and around town! I’ve meanwhile completely lost control about time, just falling into my tent when I feel like which meant 7 a.m. this morning after tons of great talks to people all around the campsite.
Got a few free beer from my new Icelandic friends which I cannot appreciate enough considering the price tag, talked to the great guys of EndlessDark who played a phantastic set at Egilsbuđ, watched Lucy in blue together with Baldvin from Lightspeed Legend, had a beer with Keli from Agent Fresco at the campsite and some harđfiskur for breakfast and now am waiting in my tent for the first rain in almost a week to stop until I head back to the venues. By the way, that’s why photos will have to follow later as I’m typing on my phone. I haven’t seen too much shows yesterday anyway to be able to soak up the atmosphere in between the venues and around the town instead which is one thing you must not miss at Eistnaflug! It’s like a big, vibrant bubble of joy, enthusiasm and kindness infecting each and everyone. You’ll meet the same persons over and over again as it’s such a small festival which creates this unique, personal feeling. It’s really like having a great time together with your gang. And watching some of the best Icelandic rock bands of course! Dr. Spock for example which made the people go nuts at Boli stage and maybe delivered the most iconic set so far at Eistnaflug ’16. Or the before mentioned Lucy in blue which really surprised me with their extremely smart psychedelic rock. And though it was a hard decision to skip Misþyrming instead I’m happy about my discovery – I will definitely keep a close eye on them!
