Indeed, the Iceland Airwaves music festival is always good for a surprise. No matter what kind of music you’re looking for, you’ll find new quality stuff. Toneron already attracted my attention even before the festival when I browsed the Iceland Airwaves 2015 playlist on Spotify. We actually almost missed the concert then but luckily dropped in just in time in the end.
Lord Pusswhip – on a Mission to take Icelandic Hip-Hop to Berlin
Lord Pusswhip is someone you definitely heard about if you already dealt with Icelandic hip-hop music. If not, it´s about time to get to know Þórður Ingi Jónsson and his music. On Air: Mono Town – In the eye of the storm
On Air of CW 51-2015: If Quentin Tarantino came to Iceland to look for a band that would perfectly fit the soundtrack of his next movie, he might choose Mono Town most likely. The three piece band from Reykjavík made quite some noise in the Icelandic music scene when they released their self-produced debut album “In […]

On Air: Agent Fresco – See hell
On Air of CW 49-2015: It’s not only because they will perform in six different cities accross Germany next week during their European tour. It’s also because they are one of the best, if not THE best, Icelandic Rock band at the moment. That’s why this week’s On Air is the amazing Agent Fresco with […]
Top 10 Airwaves Moments 2015
It´s hart to find the right words for all the experiences and beautiful impressions during Iceland Airwaves 2015. Sometimes I just close my eyes and dreaming of being back at the line to Húrra with Gull in my hand, waiting for the next gig while the rain falls down on me and the wind whistles […]
On Air: Vio – Empty streets
On Air of CW 47-2015: Vio’s sound can be described as a rather silent, slightly melancholic indie-/alternative-rock. The four guys from the Reykjavík suburb Mosfellsbær, recorded a wonderful album named “Dive in”. Absolutely recommended!
