It’s that time of the year again, and we’re so pumped for it. Probably the most intense party in Iceland is ahead of us once more: Eistnaflug returns to Neskaupstaður from July 5th to 8th and we will of course also do so! Their website tells us that this means only 1 month, 2 days, 13h and 37min of waiting from now. And as the line up has filled up meanwhile, it’s definitely time to have a closer look, check out obvious and hidden gems and get yourself in the right mood!
More or less back in all day routine which helps to overcome the pain of divorce. It’s not an ultimate end though, but at least we have to live in a long-distance relationship for almost a year again: Airwaves ’16 went down into history and slowly we realize how goddamn amazing it has been once […]
The best week of the year is ahead of us! In almost exactly one month, Reykjavík once more hosts one of the most vibrant and thrilling music festivals worldwide. This year’s lineup of Iceland Airwaves is again huuuuge in quality and quantity with more than 200 artists and bands from Iceland and abroad, a schedule […]
Sorry, this entry is only available in German.
I really tried. I promise you. I really had in mind to write a daily wrap up also for days three and four of my first Eistnaflug experience. But I miserably failed. I was falling into Eistnaflug mode and that means: I stumbled to my tent somewhat between 5 and 8 a.m. four days in […]
Hæ Eistnafluuuuuug! Oh boy, still recovering from yesterday’s blast at the venues and around town! I’ve meanwhile completely lost control about time, just falling into my tent when I feel like which meant 7 a.m. this morning after tons of great talks to people all around the campsite.
Usually I don’t like advertising like “party at the edge of the world” too much. Sounds a bit over the top and strained. But, man, there’s some truth when it comes to Eistnaflug!
Saturday was definitely the best day at Secret Solstice even though it was raining again. As I´m writing this review the festival is over already and I´m a little bit sad but happy at the same time to leave Iceland with all those amazing memories. I met awesome people, danced to the music I love […]
Second day started relaxed with a few people hanging around the Festival area. Good news: it was not raining. A lot of families and kids enjoyed the moment when the sun came out. Other people got their very special Secret Solstice tattoo, most of the younger visitors just got drunk. Some dudes also chilled at […]
The weather at my arrival in Iceland on wednesday was extremely promising. Even though the Icelandic people seem to not even know the word “weather forecast”, I looked it up and it was not so promising for the rest of the week. Secret Solstice, that´s four days of bright daylight, four days of party and […]
